22 inch night edition rims

Is it me or do these rims wind up with curb rash just from looking at them. Planning on getting new tires before winter because the stock Michelin tires are awful. Any recommendations on a tire with a little bit more protection for the rim. Had a 2016 gmc all terrain before this with 20 inch rims and never curbed them once. Some of the rim damage I’m noticing on these wheels I can’t even pinpoint when it happened? I don’t recall obviously hitting anything

Yeah 20's are the biggest I would go. Need some sidewall on a truck.

oh dear god yes! mine look terrible. I'm ready to get new tires before winter also... you think the Michelin's are bad, you should have my Pirellis. I'm struggling to find tires I like also
