I purchased an ecodiesel engine block heater cord and went to install it on my new 22 rebel ecodiesel. However it appears that the block heater doesn’t have the male plug within the housing. Pic attached, am I missing something here?

They stopped including the block heather in the 2022 model.

They must not have been selling enough cold weather packages when owners discovered all they needed was the cord.

I’m glad I got the cold weather group with my ‘22, but I’m pretty annoyed that the cord is so short. I don’t want to have to leave the hood propped to use the block heater.

That is the reason I purchased the Katz cord and you can do it too. Remove the short, stubby, damned near useless Mopar cord and replace it with the longer Katz cord from Geno’s Garage or your favorite automotive retailer. Then you can route the Katz cord to your grill, tow hook opening or anywhere on the front of the truck where the plug belongs.

For the life of me I can’t imagine who at FCA designed the Mopar cord so ridiculously short thus requiring the hood to be propped open to utilize.

Thanks! Do you know the part number of the one that fits?
