2025 Suspension Upgrade / Level / ORG/ LOTS OF QUESTIONS!!

Hello all,
I've spent a lot of time reading and had a few different truck experiences mainly using Bilstein 5100s in front to level and other parts. I now have a 25 Laramie (no air) with the ORG and I'm trying to configure the first step in the front. Trying to decide mainly between Fox 2.0 and Bilstein 5100s (again).

Couple questions/points are sticking out at me:
1. The Bilstein 5100s aren't yet approved fitment on the 2025 with Hurricane engine, so I'm not sure that will happen until endorsed by Bilstein. No other questions on those.
2. The Fox 2.0 coil overs 985-02-136 come with the spring and are adjustable
a. Anyone know if there is a benefit of that spring over the ORG stock spring used with the Fox strut only?
b. Anyone have experience to share with using that coil over setup?
3. Just using the Fox 2.0 strut with ORG stock springs

I've looked at the comparisons such as this write up:

Ride height adjustable shocks aren’t terribly new, Bilstein really paved the way for IFS light trucks and SUVs a while back. Really, not going off road much other than some light trails and dirt roads so don't need 2.5 type upgrades but want a front lift with a ride enhancement if possible. The Fox supposedly improves overall ride, but that's just one opinion.

Look for some experience from the forum (@boogielander seems to be among the wise!)

The Fox's are linear valved. They will give you a more plush ride that the Bilsteins which are Digressive valved. However, that isn't a plus if you are going to do a lot of hauling or towing. That can be offset with heavier springs or at least air bags in the back(which won't help your front). But that is an additional outlay of money. Two very excellent options would be the Carli Commuter or the Eibach kit. Both of which are a bit more expensive but would be able to fit your needs. Check out all of the YouTube vids on all of those. And also, don't overlook calling those companies and talk to them about your desires and they will be glad to steer you in the right direction.

Also, now I realize the price I was looking at for Fox 2.0 (each) and for another $500 you get into the 2.5. I think if I go that way the Fox 2.5 makes sense even if I'm not overlanding or climbing rocks. I've got a Jeep for the little real off road we do, just really looking for better looking and handling Ram. The Bilstein setup I had before just didn't feel very natural in the front end.

For sure I'll check the Carli and see how it compares. I'm trying to be $ efficient this time also. The Eibach set I looked at didn't seem to lean to comfort on road, if I'm wrong prefer options.

This was my last one. Trying to do better this time. I added ORG rear springs, Bilstein 5100 front leveling and Wildpeak 295/70/18 on TRX wheels. I liked it but it never really felt just right. Maybe it needed an another inch lift or something. Or the tires were just a little heavy, not sure. Either way, I guess we learn from practice.....

Well, I certainly won't argue about the 2.5's. Usually when people ask about leveling kits they're trying to go cheap so I didn't mention them. I have a little bit of a sweet spot for the 2.5's. They are incredible but they aren't giving them away.

the hurricane vs non-hurricane is only the spring rate due to lighter engine vs the heavier hemis. the mounting and everything is the same.
i do, however, suspect there's minimal changes to spring rates though. i was talking to King and their engineer was telling me they use the same spring rate for Hemi, V6, Ecodiesel (which is much heavier). therefore, I do think you can just get away with the 2024 ones but i've yet to confirm that (none of my customers bought hurricane lol)

benefit of running a full on coilover vs ORG spring plus strut is the different spring rate. fox 2.0 springs should be the same as the 2.5s, at 450lb/ in. not sure what the ORG spring rate is (couldn't find it). the difference? the fox 2.0 strut, in combination with the spring, work together to improve ride comfort.

tbh if i was you i'd just run the 2.0 kit and call it a day. and if you can go to 2.5 territory definitely do that so you can fine tune your ride comfort even more, despite you're only use it for 99% on pavement.

Even though Bilstein doesn't offer the 202t version yet, I went for it and had Bilstein 5100's installed on my 2025 Warlock, along with 285-75-18's.
It rides way better, with no rub anywhere. Got the exact desired look i wanted.
Bilstein 5100's DOES fit on the 2025 model.

Hey on this setup did you need spacers? Looking to go with something similar but instead of 295s was going to try 35x11.5 wild peaks with TRX rims.

If you decide to go with Fox 2.5s, check out performancemods.com as they have the best price I could find anywhere..~$3100.
I just installed these leveled on my '24 Laramie Hemi and they are very comfy in every situation..especially at higher speeds on rough, cracked roads where it's hard to get good comfort.
I previously was running Eibach Pro-Truck struts with ORP springs (F) and Eibach shocks and non-ORP springs (R) at 1.625" leveled..and they were fantastic in ride, comfort, & handling on smooth roads and low speeds, but had a double rebound kind of vibration on large bumps, cracks, etc..not bad by any means, but the Fox handles that SO much better. I got the Eibachs for $450, and the Foxs for $3100..you have to way the cost differential to decide which is best.
The Eibachs were fine when I was running OEM 20"s, but when I went to 285/60s the weight when up 12lbs per corner and the Eibachs didn't handle that extra weigth as well..the Foxs can. I am finding that I do have to go with my DSC valving way on the low end..1-2 clicks off full open..to get the plush ride I'm looking for.
You've already tried the heavy tires/Bilstein combo on your last truck, if your gonna go with bigger heavier tires again, the Bilstein or Eibach will be the same as before, so Fox 2.5 or Carli Commuter are probably best option. Fox 2.0s may be too soft to handle big heavy tires and they're softer than Bils or Bachs..just some insight.

Here's the receipt for the Foxs plus a pic of Eibach/OEM tires and new heavier 285/60s..the Fox 2.5s looks the same as second truck pic, but 1" higher..haven't gotten a new pic yet since resetting/leveling the rear end the other day.

Appreciate everyone's input. I ended up deciding on Eibach 2Rs. I put my other set of wheels/tires on today since they hadn't been used in almost a couple years. They did switch from the TRX wheels to an almost new set of Rebel wheels from a 2023. To my surprise, the TPMS synced up without issue to my 2025. Didn't expect that.

So I'm just going to run around this weekend and make sure the set doesn't need a balance and the Eibach lift goes on next week. Shooting for Tuesday. Will update. Cheers.

BTW here is the current clearance to the UCA with OE Rebel wheels and 295/70/18 Falkens. Eibach suggests no need to change after 2R lift install.

Watching this closely. Plan on doing something very similar with my 2022 Laramie NE.

I got the Eibach 2R installed today. On the ground unloaded it definitely made the truck lifted and leveled. I went to Costco for some light purchases but had the bed loaded about 250 lbs and the back seat less. Ride was noticeably different. I'll say better, smoother than ORG stock. 55mph (rush hour Metro Detroit ) was actually when I could really tell the difference. Not so choppy, still Michigan impacts on the roads but better. I'm going to take a different loop tomorrow and get up to 85mph or so and see what it feels like. Then Thanksgiving I'll have some off road / washboard tests. So far I'll say looks and feels better.
