2025 Ram Rebel X Cold Air Intake Problems?

Most OEMs program or "tune" the PCM/ECMs somewhat "rich" for a safety margin..almost all tunes lean out the A/F ratio for a more horsepower...maybe the Hurricane is tuned somwhat leaner than usual for a bit more HP and the margin for error is too tight(???).

Someone needs to throw one on a Dynojet to "tell the tale"!!

i guarantee if you tune your RAM the warrantee is void 100%. even if you take the tune off they can tell it was tuned the computer logs everything.
mustang huh, oh and let me show you how ford is. she explains it and she took it well.
Well I certainly had to take my car into the dealer after modding it for warranty work. Nothing said. Warranty was honored. If you slap a supercharger and have bad tune and blow the motor. Sure nobody is going to warranty accept maybe the tuner but thats unlikely as well. Like i said you can't void the whole warranty b/c u slap a tune on a car. Regardless of what video you post or what you believe. Not all dealers are richards. You are implying if you put on a lift kit then the dealer isn't going to warranty the truck at all.. Thats ridiculous. I don't own a vehicle that isn't tuned properly. Never had an issue. To each their own

if you put a lift on it that will void the bumper to bumper on the suspension i never implied that would void the "powertrain" portion. as far as that woman is concerned she didn't supercharge it, intake and a tune if you watched ford scrutinized it because it was a hand built Shelby motor the dealer said if it was a regular 5.0 it they would have covered it. my point is if you tune a base hurricane, RAM under it current ownership will more than likely void the powertrain. they see it like if you wanted 500+ hp you should have got a RHO with stronger internals. i have a good friend that is a serv writer at a GM dealer he has told and let people go take bolt on's off so he could cover powertrain issues but if the customer is or was a dic he can and will void it in the system then the truck will be blacklisted so no matter what dealer they take it to they are SOL. another example i know it's a hellcat but it just shows how they can do you. look you do you but be aware you may be making things hard on yourself. they spent millions on r+d they think they know what tune is best......

I’ve never joined a forum because I knew they are full of douchenozzle know it alls who are holier than thou in every situation. Thought I’d take a chance and join this one. Nope, your reply proved me right. Glad you know what my truck is doing with all your wisdom and knowledge. Goodbye.
Later 👋

If the cats have gone bad, I'd be fairly certain you're running lean and/or over-boosting.

I built my 2008 GT500 and was running 20 psi and 20° timing and a starter tune to get to the dyno shop.

I completely babied the car to get there (and even had Torco Accelerator add to 93 octane) and yet both cats were funneled in from the lean heat! (Dyno guy was brilliant and Dx'd it right away).

Did a cat delete..since cats weren't gonna play well with that boost and timing..trailered it back and re-dyno tuned and no more issues ever.

Cats are telling you you're lean and they're getting cooked..too much air, not enough fuel.
They replaced both cats on my high output a week ago, so far seems to running great again, no lights or alerts popping up.. they also did some ignition software update improvements afraid to touch anything on this truck now haha.
