Currently have 6k miles on the truck I purchased in AUG. After my first oil change at the dealer, truck is running funny in low rpm's while sitting in the driveway. Made a service call and had 2 Software updates installed, one for the PCM and the other for the information suite. When I picked up the truck it ran just fine until I arrived home in my driveway and it is running rough at idle in the driveway. Drove it to Wisconsin and back without any issue got 25 MPG on the highway, I was impressed. Now I am not so sure. This is my 3rd RAM over the years and I never had any problems before on a 98 or the 2012 I still own. UGHH. It sounds like it is missing in low RPMS's and almost died twice until I shut it down. Help any suggestions?

Sounds like you may be getting some bad gas, I don't know how far away Wisconsin is for you, but if you filled up someplace else and it ran without any issues, the gas you are getting locally might be the problem.

Hello, thanks for the reply. I discvered today that the guys from the delaership who did the oil change did not lock down the air filter compartment and I noticed it while looking for anything loose under the hood. Once I secured the compartment correctly the low RPM problem stopped. I first thought it might be bad gas too as I filled up at SAMS and usually alway fill up at WAWA.

Glad you figured it out. I just changed the air filter today in our Grand Cherokee and those filters can be a pain to close up.

Damn - 25mpg is impressive... I have a '25 Laramie 4x4 and my best on a recent FL - NC round trip that I just got back from was only 19.6 (and I only use 92-93 octane) and that's with essentially no real load weight and a full rolling tonneau cover in place covering the bed.
