Hi I’m new here but I’m just wandering if anyone else besides me is having what I call surging issues especially 1st through 4th gear.. I have 9,000 miles on it and it has done it from the beginning.. Hard to describe but it’s like going up the incline on roller coaster on how it jerks you back and forth or simple illustration pushing and letting off gas pedal.. I’ve had it into 2 different dealerships and they say computer shows fine.. I even drove a tech around and he felt it but computer shows nothing.. It’s almost like it’s misfiring.. I’m not mechanically inclined but I know something ain’t right.. Sorry for the long post but just checking to see if anyone else has experienced this..

Ain't it great that even when "they" experience it "they" can't fix it unless the computer tells them that it isn't right!!!!!
I believe it's a known issue that "they" haven't or won't address until more complain.
I've got the same issue, but "they" want me to leave it to see if "they" can duplicate it.

I get the same thing, somedays it runs nice other days I get the surging you describe (seems to be in the 1500-1800 rpm range). With my truck, the exhaust note changes as well when the surging occurs, reminds me of when the MDS activated in my old Hemi, power is slightly less too. When I cold start the engine, I notice the surging briefly before the rpms settle to idle. I am baffled by the multiple personalities this truck has. No check engine lights or any other problems, just wish the engine and transmission ran nice all the time. When it runs well, it is a joy to drive (strong power, smooth shifting and quiet). My first oil change is coming due so I will ask the dealer if there are any software updates. I consistently use 93 octane fuel.

I have the issue. It’s awful. Sometimes it surges as you’re slowing down and either stalls the engine, or drops the rpm so low it goes into auto park. My appointment is next Wednesday, I hope the truck lasts that long.

No codes or CEL.

I have 4000 miles on it.

May I ask what rear end gear the people have that are getting this surging?

Well at 450 miles mine is starting to do the same thing when driving in town (30MPH or less). 3.92 also.

Mine is also surging. Took back to dealer yesterday. Service told me they felt it also, but wasn't that bad. Huh!! They said remember it has a 8 sp trans and shifts differently. Told them my last 2 were 8spd and smooth as silk. The truck computer was flashed prior to purchase for this issue according to VIN #. They performed a new transmission flash. Said I had to drive it a while for it to learn my driving habits. Huh !!. I will pickup truck today and see if any difference. Need to band together to force a issue. I don't want to drive this truck like this.

Do you have the 3.92 rear gear? IMO - I think the truck will drive good until the learning is over, then the truck will be back to surging. I will add that my 2022 Classic will hang gears at low speeds, if we reset the trans learning feature, it drives fine until it gets through the learning mode. They told me it takes about 500 miles. I would like to know if the trucks with the 3.55 rear gears behave the same or are they better.

I am experiencing the same issue. 3.92 axle SO engine. Mine has less than 100 miles on it. Although I did get a fault code of Electronic Throttle Control so we will see if that persists. Traded in my 2019 Hemi with same 8 speed tranny, she was smooth as silk. I hope this gets worked out!

Took my truck back to my dealer for long list of defects.
One of them was rough shifting. They said that there is TSB / software update.

Mine with 3.55's did it, along with check engine light flashing, misfires, stalling...
