2025 Ram 1500 Laramie "Trailer Disconnected" & "Check Trailer Light"

So today while driving with no trailer attached to truck, "Check Trailer Light" & "Trailer disconnected" messages came across display screen.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any leads to what could possibly be causing these messages? Truck is 2 months old 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie

I have the same problems. If you have your trailer attached and it rains, water gets in the plug. Then when you unhook the trailer, you will see all these messages. Dealership told me i have to unplug before it rains. It's ridiculous I want to sell my truck

This is one case where it may be useful to utilize a spray that dries electrical contacts, after disconnecting , something like CRC QD electronic cleaner or even WD40, which is also good at displacing moisture. Spray the connector ports after disconnecting and see what happens/. Good luck and I hope this helps.
