Hey all! I traded in my ram limited for a 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie with the towing technology group, laramie equipment group 2, and advanced safety group 2. I really love the truck but am very frustrated with the locking of the truck and feel like I am doing something wrong. My prior truck I could lock from the outside with handle, this truck doesnt have that. When I get out of the truck and his the lock button, close the door, and walk away the truck beeps three times at me and unlocks. I have looked through all the setting on the truck and could not for the life of me figure this out. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? This is totally bumming me out with my brand new vehicle!

I have and that works, but then I have to take the key out of my briefcase. Its just a nuisance that seems like it should have a solution.

You can't lock the truck without closing the door.
WHAT?! Thats rediculous. So I cant lock the truck then close the door? So there is no way for me to lock the truck unless I take the key out?
I guess thats an option. It does seem a bit crazy I can't just lock the truck while the door is open
