Good afternoon,
I purchased some cargo bed lights through my local dealer that matched my VIN. I ran the wires all the way to the cab and went to install them into the BCM but ran into a problem. The BCM in the instructions does not match the BCM I have in my truck. I have a 2025 Ram 1500. I have asked dealers for the pin out information but they keep giving me the run around. Can you help me?

Sorry to say, you just did a lot of work for nothing. You bought a kit that will not work for the 2025+. Hence the reason your BCM looks different.

I went to the dealership and checked and they said it was the correct one for my VIN. I think I am going to have to tie it into the switch for the bed lights on the cab.

Sounds like someone there doesn't know what they are doing. As far as I know, they haven't released a DIY kit or even a dealer option kit. With the new canbus architecture, it's much more difficult (impossible for now).

Chris, if you find out anything, please let me know because I did the same thing on my 2026 Ram and my BCM looks exactly like yours. If I find out anything, I will let you know as well.
Thank you

I know the new 2026 Ram 1500 have the lights installed from the factory for this new BCM, so somewhere out there, has to be the information to install the factory lights into the new BCM. Hopefully, someone that knows a little more than me, will publish that info for us.

I do know that the light kit is the same as they will go into the factory locations in the bed of the truck, so it just has to be that the pins will have to be identified in the BCM.

BCM is the key word. It's not an easy thing to do on the 2025+. And you still need help from the dealer or the correct equipment. That's why there will probably never be a DIY kit for factory lights.
