I ordered and installed the Mopar powered running boards (Part 82219228AB) onto my 2025 1500 Rebel and they do not function at all. Double-checked the wiring, connectors, power, seems to be installed correctly.

Based on prior installs, it seems like it should be plug and play...with dealer intervention only needed to get the Uconnect functionality. Has anyone installed these? I'm not sure what to do.

2025s are much different from the 2019 to 2024. The canbus architecture is completely different. I doubt this will be plug and plug unless Mopar says it is.

These will not work without a dealer adding the sales code. Until then the truck won't know they exist and they won't get power. (I have installed them in my 2025)

Interim update...

As confirmed by other posters, 2025 Rams do need dealer involvement to get the running boards working. $350 later...they work.

Luckily, the dealer didn't give me any pushback but the service guys were surprised I was able to buy the part because if anything is installed improperly, they won't activate it.

Overall, I still saved $700 so I'll consider it a win.
