2025 Bighorn Crew Cab w/ 6’4” box & Hurricane Engine: My owners manual in the app shows the drive modes being controlled on the touchscreen, which I can’t figure out if that’s correct. Other features don’t align either, which leads me to believe I somehow have the wrong owners manual. For example, my buttons for drive modes are on the steering wheel, not the dashboard like the manual shows. Anyways…

Immediate questions are:

1. Where is there an in-depth explanation of the drive modes? The manual doesn’t say anything.

For example, when I go to tow ode, it puts it in auto4wd….how/can you put it back in 2wd but still be in tow mode? The manual doesn’t even mention tow mode turning on auto 4wd.

2. Should tow mode be used for a 1,800 boat at altitude in the mountains, or is it for heavy loads?

3. How does auto 4wd actually work? Is it the same as 2wd until the wheels slip and then it sends power to the front wheels? If so, why not be in auto 4wd all the time?

4. I get random chimes when driving and have no clue what they are, there is no message on the screen and nothing in the manual.

5. Why the heck do we have a manual that doesn’t even match the experience of the car I’m driving?

Thanks! Love the truck but there is definitely a gap in documentation. Even the videos on my app are for the TRX and not the Bighorn…why? Lol

1. Probably because it can give better power when needed. Don't worry about it. Doesn't matter.

2. Tow mode just changes shift points as far as I know.

3. Auto 4WD is just that. 2WD and if needed, it switches to 4WD. The only reason not to run it all the time is because there is a small parasitic drain. But I believe the TRX runs in auto all the time, so there's that.

4. I have gotten a few of these in my 2020. Very random. Probably one of the sensors seeing something. Not a big deal.

5. Maybe you are expecting more than what is available. Not enough paper to explain every single detail in detail.

The owners manual is online.
Like 600 pages. Not the easiest to use.
