2024 Ram strange sound from the right rear

When I shut my truck off and exited about 30 seconds after it sounded like something winding up and unwinding from the rear of the truck. Does anybody have any idea what this is?

What model truck do you have ?

If it’s equipped with air ride, or…4 corner leveling system, it could be the sensors leveling out after you parked.
I believe it’s an option with Laramie, standard on Limited.

Either he electronic brake automatically engaging or the air suspension if you have it.

Probably your air suspension adjusting after you turn it off. They do that to give the truck a good profile when parked.

My Rebel doesn't have air suspension and I hear the same thing. I always assumed it was the auto parking brake, but not sure. These new vehicles have so many sensors and auto functions, I never thought about what it was and just ignore it.
