2023 bighorn, 38,5xx miles, just had dealer replace the starter. Noise in cab and unsecured cable by front driveshaft

I picked the truck up used in December. The dealership worked with me and covered 80% of the starter cost because I’m an over the 36k mile warranty.

I’m not getting a weird noise in the cab… either right behind the tach or by the emergency neutral release switch. My truck had to be towed to the dealership.

The noise is prominent when I hit the gas. For the most part it stops even I let off of the gas. It’s a low rumbling noise,

I’m not sure I’d this is related… but the gasket around the neutral release cable looks to have been removed and put in backwards. It’s dirty, but nothing else under the dash has any dirt on it


I drop my truck off tonight to get it looked at by the dealership.

Obviously, I want them to fix their mistake with the cable.

Is there any way this cable could be causing the noise if I’ve only driven in 2wd? If not, any ideas on what it could be? I did not find anything loose under the dash.

Should I be concerned about the dirty or flipped gasket?

If this should be in a different forum, I can try to move it

flipping the hood release grommet is not really possible unless you cut it i don't see any cut.

that's kinda what I figured unless something went wrong and they needed to re feed through the grommet. I didn;t meantion that the cable also had some white power on it, I assume talcum to feed through the gasket.

mystery solved, i moved the cable, and the noise stopped. I def need them to give everythig a once over.

ON your first pick it looks like the cable above drive shaft is getting a little wear, looks like a corner of the shaft bolt is hitting the protective sleeve,
the gray /silver sleeve just some info.
