2022 Orders

What is this new 2022 Longhorn Southfork Edition I read about? I see no interior photos anywhere. I ordered a, now 2022, longhorn with black/saddle. Too late to change my order, but I’d sure like to see what this Southfork edition really is On the interior. Anyone Know?
I ordered it and hope it’ll be similar to last years 10th anniversary with mountain brown Anxious to actually see it. Just now seeing it mentioned at all.

You ordered it without even having seen pictures of it!?

I can't decide if that's totally boss or completely insane…

Basically a 10th Anniversary Limited Longhorn re-shoed as a SouthFork for MY22. Same all-Mountain Brown interior I believe. I've attached a screen shot of the contents of the package from Robert Miller's write-up.

So…I just heard an unconfirmed rumor (so take this with a grain of salt). Supposedly all of this D-to-C-back-to-D business was an audit by Stellantis of certain orders/dealers. Word is that some dealers have been placing “sold” orders under employees’ names. Those who have passed the audit were put back to D and/or moved to D1.

This is a little scary if a dealer did this and got one of our builds put on the **** list because of it. Need confirmation of said rumor. Thanks for the heads up!

Alternatively I wonder how many illegitimate/bogus orders got placed if this is true which would accelerate the time table for rest of us.

After thinking through this for a minute, there’s one thing that leads me to believe it could be true. Ram suddenly stopped using VINs for the past week. So perhaps they’re sifting through the current orders, trying to find out how many are fraudulent.

Anybody got the Status guide? My POC as of LAST week says D-"firm schedule: serial number is assigned" does serial refer to the VIN or the Sequence id for the build (they HAVE to have some form of internal serializing process for the builds that isnt based on vin but actual order assembled) lets all hope for option 2 lol

And I forgot to mention another thing. I know for 100% fact that there are shenanigans going on with some dealers, as it pertains to the ordering system.

Serial number = VIN. Normally you don’t get a VIN until you hit D.

I'm sure there are some desperate dealers willing to do anything to get fresh iron to set on their lot and sell for full MSRP or most likely OVER. Greed!!

So, does that mean if I went from D to C to D1 back to C that I initially passed the audit but then was re-evaluated and failed? This is really a rhetorical question, but I’d love to know what is going on.

How many different ways can a dealer chase a buyer off a sold order in order to put it on his lot?

So assuming this is a typo, but in building my 22 Rebel GT on the Canadian site and it lists front ventilated seats? Could this be true? Ventilated seats on a Rebel?

I checked with Sandi at MD before ordering the Rebel specifically about the ventilated seats, and she said they were included in the G/T package. I hope that’s accurate because the 4 summers of TX are hot.

I saw a picture of some interior in a marketing brochure sent to me , not sure if it was for our truck or maybe the wagoneer, it had a saddle bag looking cover strap coming over the pouches on the back of the front seats in brown leather.

Seats with the buckel on the back are the interior of the limited longhorn model

Thank you, to me they cost to much not to take care of them. I Dislike throwing my money away. Some have more than others
I hear you brutha... I never understood how someone could spend $60-$70K on something and not take care of it.

Since your getting PPF what does it cover?
That's a good question, haha. I've hit up RAM Chat about the extent of what the PPF covers and they don't know. From what I've been able to gather on the internet is that it covers the front grill, hood, and possibly the front fenders. It's seems like the only one on here who ordered my truck with the PPF...

I did not even know that was a option from the factory, i have only heard of dealers and independent businesses doing that.

My dealer was shocked how clean my truck was despite driving on gravel. I was like "Why would it be any other way? I practically LIVE in it and I want it nice!"
