2021 Tow Mirrors - Reverse lights

Anyone have any information on the performance of the reverse lights on the 2021 Tow Mirrors? Does it light up the side of the truck really good or just a little? I park on the side of the street and often have trouble seeing just how close I am to the curb. I was hoping that these lights would be good for seeing out the side mirrors at night to shine a better light on the curb so I can reduce the amount of curb rash. Really just want to know if this a useful feature or just a bunch of "malarky".
