2021 RAM Bighorn 1500 4x4, 5.7 Hemi V8 (Not an eTorque engine)
I recently had an issue with my RAM 1500. I was driving about 25 mph and everything completely shut down on me. I was able to pull off to the side of the road, put it in park and was able to restart it. Took it into dealership, they scanned for codes and nothing came up. I read something about using Premium gas shutting down trucks with eTorque motors. I have always use midgrade or lesser fuel and never had an issue. I was going to fuel up once again with Premium fuel to see if it would happen again but not sure if I want to take the risk of creating an accident. If this has happened to anyone else without an eTorque motor I be interested in what your experience was and what was found to be the problem.
