Took advantage of high trade in values to upgrade my 2020 Laramie with 40k miles to a new 2021 Limited. It has about everything except the tech group. Color is Ivory Pearl.

As you can see l, I've made many mods already. I'll discuss each in separate posts within the thread in case the details may help someone else out. I'm likely going to do the 4 inch BDS lift when it becomes available. I really prefer a 6 inch lift but the air suspension throws a wrench in that preference.

Rear under bumper LEDs:

I'll show these first because to me, they are so handy that I consider them must have. I've done these on the last 4 trucks I've owned and simply use the crap.out of them. I have them wired into the OEM rear cargo and bed light switch. This means they come in when the truck is unlocked, doors opened, tailgate opened, and I can use the switch to turn them on as needed when backing up or anytime extra light is needed such as loading ATV onto trailer.

With the RAMBOX and stock bedlights, it was an easy install and hook up. Just tap into the driver side bed light wiring for the power and ground to frame. In other trucks without the bedlight right there, I tapped into the cargo bed light wire in the loom under the driver rear door sill.

I went with 34" tires instead of 35s this go around. Because the lift will be 4 inches max, I didn't want to have a stuffy look.

I used AirLinks to end up with about 1.5 inch lift in front and 1 inch in rear, leaving about an inch rake. So, ground to fender is 39.5/40" in front and 40.5/41" in back. There is some side to side variance and also some variation in heights depending in when I measure. Ride is not rough in normal mode but horrible in OR1.

Mickey Thompson just came out with their Baja Boss ATs. I've had good luck with their tires in the past. I loved the look of these and the 50k mile tread warranty gave me some confidence in the longevity, so I went with them. So far, the road noise is minimal and ride is great. They look way more aggressive than they feel or sound. Overall opinion TBD with miles, of course.

Wheels are Fuel Covert in matte anthracite. 20x9, -18 offset.

Front end mods included a Tyger bull bar, Rough Country 20inch light bar (black with DRL), and blue LED grill accent lighting.

The bull bar does block the 2 middle front sensors. I don't need or use those sensors so simply turn off. You can turn them back on while parking if desired, because the 2 outside sensors will function.

The light bar BARELY fit on the bull bar. I cut off the included relay and switch and hooked it up to a remote controlled relay switch box. I mounted that box to the top of the fuse box. It came with a remote that resembled a garage door opener but found it had an annoying internal rattle so programmed a homelink button for the main on and off, and a 2nd homelink for the DRL. This was possible because the remote box has 2 high watt ports with corresponding buttons on the remote.

For grill accent, I used blue strip lights stuck to the top frame bar between the grill and radiator. Powered by sliding under a fuse that is always under power when the truck is on. I don't remember which fuse I ended up using but could look if someone is interested to know.

My local muffler shop will hold mufflers on the system so you can hear them. I had no interest in spending money on a full system, so went with a simple muffler swap. I wanted a bit more aggressive than stock without being obnoxious. Ended up with Jones Exhaust FB428.

I'm running into issues posting the video clip for sound, but will if I figure it out.

I took some better pix of the wheels. I had some questions about the color. They are labeled as anthracite. To my eyes, they are gray with a slight blue tint.

Overall how do you like the split tailgate?

Had the BDS 4 inch lift installed today. Very happy with it. The ride is identical to stock. Will get some good pix soon.

BDS finally confirmed their 4 inch kit for air suspension models would work on 2021s, so was able to get the truck lifted. I had AirLinks on it for 3 months and they worked fine, but wasn't ever meant to be my final answer. I am considering adding the links back in to gain back that 1.5 inches all the way around. I am definitely going to install the rear links to gain the rake back. I prefer rake over level.

As it sits, the ride is same or very close to stock and all air settings work perfectly.

How much of the front air dam did you have to cut off to install that Bull Bar? Do you plan on re-locating the front parking sensors?

Basically, a slot for each side, a bit wider than the bar itself. I've installed this same model on my last 3 trucks, and have done each by cutting the air dam in place, rather than removing it as the directions recommend.

No, I'm not gonna relocate the sensors. I don't really use them much anyways. I just turn them off with the rocker switch. On this truck, I can just look at the 360 cam. But on previous trucks I would occasionally turn it back on to see what the outside 2 sensors show, because they still function.

You are going to love the BDS 4 inch lift kit! I had a ton back in February and then drove to Texas and back from New York and I can honestly say it rides better than stock! I have 35 inch K02d on 20” Motiv wheels.

Looks good! I've had bds 6 inch kits in the past. This 4 inch with the air suspension is great tho!

What's the offset of your wheels? They stick out a bit.
