2021 CHMSL cam retrofit??

Any idea if the center high mounted stop light with camera that’s coming on the 2021 1500s will be retro-fitable to the 2020s?

ive heard that alphaOBD can enable another cam input, but wondering if it’s compatible, and what else would have to be done...

I think the answer to this hinges on whether the '21 models have UConnect 5. A new radio module might introduce new software and or connectors that just won't be backward compatible without changing everything related.

OTOH, if the HD trucks have this already there's hope!

As far as UConnect5, I highly doubt it will be coming to the 2021s. With all the information that has been made available for the 2021s so far, I feel we would have heard if it was coming to the new model year. I don’t think we’ll be seeing it until 2022.
