I know this has been discussed in the past but has anybody had their ram box lids fixed or replaced under warranty? I know you can adjust them if needed but mine appear warped. One bends inwards on drivers side, the passenger one now sits sticking out. I never had this problem with my 2017 ram box, these seem like they are cheaply made now. They sound cheaper when you close them as well. The paint on the driver's side lid looks like it has a defect in it as well... I'll post a picture or two shortly. Thanks.

I apologize for the trouble, @CaroleDidit. If this is something you decide to address with your Ram dealer, we would be more than willing to escalate a case on your behalf to a specialist for further support through that process. Please do not hesitate to follow up via private message with any additional questions.

I have a paint issue on my right lid and both are quite "wavy" in their appearance. With my paint, Billet Silver Metallic, I am worried about getting them replaced because the paint will most likely not match correctly. Greys and yellows suck for paint matching. Not to mention this paint code is in stages (I think)... I am just going to live with them. They function fine and are close enough to following the body lines. Mine look much better in alignment compared to some I have seen posted.

Yes, this has been discussed to exhaustion in other threads. Especially this one...

The 2020 models have the same issues as the 2019's, and I suspect the 2021's will be found to have them as well. It's something that Ram has yet to provide a real solution for. And as long as most of us are not complaining they probably won't ever spend the resources to fix it.

Here’s some pictures. I will ask the dealer to address them at my next oil change in a few weeks. Sucks and kinda embarrassing to have a 70k truck and you see this all the time... one of them popped open the other day while driving as well..

Those lids look pretty typical. Can't really tell what's going on in the third pic though. I'm assuming it's the paint defect you mentioned. There's no reason to be embarrassed by them. I know that most people don't even notice. I've stopped pointing it out to people, and no one has mentioned it to me except other people who have them.

I thought about taking it in to have them try to adjust the lids, but I'm worried they might make things worse. Especially after reading through the thread I linked in my last post. Lots of people have had their lids replaced, only to have the problem return. There's no adjustment that can fix what's essentially a bad design. Right now my lids at least seal out the water, and that's the most important thing to me. Looks are one thing, but as long as they are functional I'm satisfied with them. Having one pop open is another thing altogether though. That affects functionality, and I'd definitely take it in for that. Maybe you'll have better luck than other people have.

I also had the rambox unlock while driving and they ended up replacing the pig tail and now the "warped" look is x10 worse than the passenger side...

Yeah, based on what your experiences have been with repairs I'm going to let it go for now. Just frustrating. Love the function of the ram boxes. loved them on my 4th gen. This 5th gen vendor for the ram boxes sucks. I find myself pushing down on the lid now to make sure its latched before driving away just in case...
