Had engine light come up with code P0472 about a month ago though haven't noticed other changes. Took to dealer and got a call back stating EGR cooler is clogged and requires replacement and cost is $3.5k. Is this a common problem for a well kept, recently barely used truck with only 45k miles? I just had the fuel pump recall done at this dealer 2 months ago and he told me vehicle was in great shape. Should I opt for cheaper alternatives like de-clogging, ask for second opinion, or just bite the bullet and shill the $3.5k? Any advice?
