2020 Ram Big Horn leaking oil after 74 miles had to get towed

Was so excited about my Ram Purchase yesterday. Drove to work no problems. Got on the freeway on my way home and oil light turns on and cant go over 25 mph. Pulled over and towed it back to dealership I bought it from. What is the issue?

Did you check the oil or do any sort of diagnostic work before towing it? Its impossible for us to know much based on this

First time I've heard of this issue as well. Sucks that happened to a brand new truck, hopefully it's a simple fix.

Welcome to forum, I would of at least check oil level before it was towed. Regardless, I wouldn’t be happy at all brand new off lot truck. Is there oil leaking? If not and full, possibly internal ops issue for easy fix. Please keep us in loop about what’s going on or found

Did ya check the oil before you took delivery? PDI guys are usually the new kids on the block.

Was there oil dripping when you stopped and had to get towed?

Check oil filter...for some reason the dealer doesn't check them before they leave the lot and they're not always tightened down all of the way....as evidence of the quart of oil stain on my garage floor.
