Just recently installed a PAC Apsub-ch41 into my 2020 limited HK to add on an aftermarket amp and sub. Ran all new 4ga fused back to the amp with correct ground. Ran 12ga remote turn on to the PAC module along with new RCAs for amp input.
Sub is a 12" crescendo forte and amp is a brand new down4sound mini maxx 1000 watt rms 1-ohm stable. After hooking everything up and tuning the amp I have to say it sounds disappointing.
The overall volume of the bass being put out is very muddy and not very deep or loud to put it plain. Sub is in a ported fox acoustics box so it should hit low and hard. Had same sub in my 4th gen and was blown away.
Honestly not sure why but it seems like the PAC is not sending a clear signal out to the amp.
Anyone else ever dealt with an issue like this?
