I took my gate off the other day, so much lighter than they used to be. My spine is thankful, but I worry that in a few years we will have peeling paint like the rear door on old Volvo wagons and Ford Expeditions
I wouldn't worry about it too much. The hoods on these trucks have been aluminum for years (4th gens), and I haven't seen too much about peeling paint on 4th gens.
