2020 2500 CP3 swap, elec throttle light

I recently had an independent shop do the CP3 swap on my 2020 2500 (the recall would take several years to get done by the dealer because they are only getting one unit every 2 weeks, and I am 109 on the list - they just finished number 7). Now the electronic throttle light is on, and also says to service the exhaust system. The independent claims that only the dealership can fix this problem. I have an appt in a couple weeks.
Any ideas? Also is it ok to drive as is?
