2020 1500 Key fob not working FIXED!!!

My fob stopped unlocking or locking the doors...remote start and panic wouldn't work either but it WOULD work using my hand to lock and unlock on the door handle and the truck would start and run.....after trying several things including asking the dealer (ummm...just leave it with us) I fixed it. Here is how. Put the fob on the front seat. ..get out and lock the door with the door handle button. The horn will blow 3 times warning you the FOB is inside. Remove the FOB and try it... mine worked fine after this. Hope this helps someone. I suspect the security system was confused ....

Roll your window down before you do this. That way if the trucks actually listens to you and locks you out, you can still get in without finding your spare.

2020 Limited here with the same problem. Didn’t work. Shoot; I had high hopes! Gonna pull the battery leads. If that doesn’t work, does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I'm having this problem as well now. It worked this morning, went into the store, and then I came out and the buttons wouldn't work. The door handle button works, and I can start the truck, I just can't use the remote to lock or unlock.

I tried putting it on the front seat and locking it with the button. It would not lock with the button, nor did the horn beep, with the key sitting on the front seat.

Oh well. I'll keep looking. Anyone else have a suggestion?

After trying a few things, I unplugged the negative terminal on the battery for a couple of minutes and then reconnected it. The fob worked right away.

Very strange. I'll see if it stays working or it breaks again. I got the Ram new in November of 2019 and this is the first time it's had an issue with the FOB.
