I recall reading that ordering for the 2020 1500 would open in May and production would start in the summer. Well, May has come and gone. Has anyone heard from a dealer or reputable source regarding the 2020 model?

I'm going to wait for the 2020 regardless, and order. I won't buy off the lot, because it won't have EXACTLY what I want, and I'm not paying $50k or more for something that is not exactly what I want.

Until I get a truck (presumably this fall) my daily driver is my '87 Monte Carlo SS - so not all bad.
:)

I'm wandering the same thing. I was planning of ordering a Limited or Laramie this weekend.

Wish the 2020s would have the 6.4 as an option to compete with the 6.2 GM and 3.5 HO from Ford. But I'm still happy with the 400hp 5.7

Only thing I could find was the following which shows an initial production start for the 2020 Ram 1500's (DT) of 7/22/19. Of course this list also says that initial orders would start 5/7/19 so we know that didn't pan out. List was last updated mid March 2019 but all we have to go on at this point.

I’m waiting for the 2020s as well—although the lack of consistent information is annoying. I was hoping to order a Laramie with the Night Package in time to receive it on September.

I’m anxiously waiting to order a 2020 Laramie Longhorn, hopefully with a few new color options. I’m also hoping that some of the ‘19 options I like aren’t discontinued.

If this helps any I tried to order a 2019 Laramie yesterday in blue streak and was told the ordering window for blue streak was closed as of last week so they are starting to wrap up 2019 production. Now to wait and see what 2020 brings. Sucks as Blue streak should have matched my Chevy SS sedan perfectly.

Don't know if it means anything but Edmunds as of 2 days ago is listing "Fourth Quarter of 2019" as the release date of 2020 Rams...so, that would mean not before October....maybe late Sept.

I think that's the release date for the diesel engine.

Also sometimes hard to know what a "quarter" means - as the quarters on a calendar and the quarters of an annual business cycle are not typically the same thing.

I was just thinking about this this morning. I used to love perusing the new fleet order guide for F-150s to check out the MY changes.

I look forward to doing this with the 2020 1500 :D

The most recent recall applied to some 2020 pre-production models, so they are on their way.

Had to stop by my dealer today to get plates....asked them about 2020 orders....guys there said no official announcement yet but they are expecting the 2nd - 3rd week of July (probably around July 15th...maybe sooner but not before the 4th) for ordering to open up and begin acceptance.

Any knowledge of any new color or packages being offered for 2020?

The only thing new have heard is the REBEL will have the split tailgate option and possibly the 360 Cameras that are on the rest of the line.

With the savings they are currently offering I just brought home a limited. :)
Me too. In the shop already though the sunshade on the panoramic sunroof came undone. It went back into the headliner. Hope they don’t have to pull the headliner, worried about the dealer messing something up.

Ouch. At least it’s covered under warranty. I’m happy that I bought an extended warranty.
