any one know of some good places to mount any light bars in the grill or skid plate area ?

I had one on my 4th gen in the lower mesh grill between the two hooks just above the skid plate on my fourth gen but seems like they changed the styling and closed the mesh material so I really can’t mount there again .

Any one have any ideas and if so what size is to use ?

Here is a reference to my 4th gen I had before.

What size light bar are you looking to install. I have a Rigid SR 10 on mine and does what I need it to do, you can probably go a bit bigger between the sensors. Check mine out.

Post 26 is the light and mount.

This is what I did. I’ll get better pics. I’m happy with it so far. I used stainless steel zip ties to secure to the grill. I couldn’t cut the upper grill because of the shutters and haven’t decided yet in cutting the lower grill. I can easily return this to stock by cutting the zip ties but they are also very secure and look good IMO. These are 20” light bars. Originally I only had one 20” and then two 7” bars mounted near the license plate but they were wreaking havoc with my parking sensors SO I swapped the 7” bars to the rear using a trailer hitch mount and moved the other 20” up front. They are controlled by switches in the cabin. I am pinging @ramButz who was having a similar issue. Not sure what he ended up with. I just completed this yesterday.

There is a black cover that can be removed that covers the lower mesh grill where the parking sensors are. That’s where I mounted mine which is dual purpose, flood light and emergency lights. I believe rough country makes a lightbar kit that directly fits there with all hardware.

How did you mount it behind the lower grill? Did you have to cut plastic ?

There is a plastic cover for the lower grill held on by tabs. Just have to release the tabs and pull it out.

Baja Designs is releasing a hidden light bar kit and fog light kit in the next month or two. I confirmed in an email to them. A member on here let them use his truck for measurements.

I called today and after being put on hold to ask his engineer, he said 3 weeks out.

Hey man,

I see that you put the led strobe lights on your rear tow hook. I'm going to run some strobes from the back of my bed to the cab. which way did you run the wires?
