Is there a way to change the oil without getting it all over the place? The drain plug is over the sway-bar and even the filter is in a bad spot. I changed it twice myself using a piece of metal to guide the oil but it still makes a mess. This time I took it to my mechanic since it was getting inspected and he was cursing Chrysler too. Is there a trick or method to use that I don’t know about?

Try one of these for the oil drain plug

Femco Oil Drain Plug Set 90° (M14x1.5-SB-T12) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01MR2F...t_i_H22TS6TS1YYFTY9CWXM3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

You could also look into a straight version but I don't recall if there would be interference with the sway bar

For the oil filter I put a sandwich bag over it, seal it, and navigate it out. Minimal spilling

Hope this helps

^^^yup what he said. I use gallon size lock bag. Keeps it fairly clean considering the crappy location. For the drain plug I just put aluminum foil around sway bar. I always bring a can of brake clean and few rags underneath to give it a wipe down when down.
