My low mileage and otherwise pristine 2019 RAM Longhorn Edition is at Huffines Ram with a turn signal issue, broken visor, and bubbling/warping dash. Stellantis won’t budge a cent on the dash because @RamCares they say it's too old. It’s well established that this is a known quality problem for which they chose not to issue a recall. My friend had the same problem with her 2020 RAM and got hers replaced. I'm totally disgusted and disappointed. I bought this truck because, among other great features, it’s stunning interior. Well at just six years old, it’s not stunning any more. I'm ready to start a wholesale campaign to further highlight this quality and customer care failure. Stellantis needs to step up and stand behind their product. Any recommendations from other owners who have gotten traction on this would be appreciated.IMG_1632.jpegIMG_1628.jpegIMG_1634.jpegIMG_1629.jpeg

The link above has a method to utilize a strynge and inject a small amount of adhesive through the leather to reattach the leather to the dash. Everything can be procured from Amazon. This problem is compounded by heat, and leather cleaners which break down the adhesive. This issue is found with any vehicle that has leather dashboard covers. I also have a 2019 Laramie Longhorn with the same problem since parking outside.

GJM- so I have a 22 Ram Limited Longhorn with 38k miles that has a bubbling leather dash. I followed the suggestion by someone in this forum to call a dealership for help. I did, and got the run around and a price quote of $2500+ for a new dash install. I then followed the suggestion to contact RamCare. RamCare took my vehicle formation & complaint and issued me a case/reference number, and said I am eligible for a repair cost assistant program, and to contact my local dealer with the case/reference number. So, I did. The local dealership took that information and said their warranty department will work on this and get back to me with my portion of the cost. After 2 weeks (15 days) they quoted me $350 as my portion to replace the dash. While I am surprised that the dash failed so quickly on a $87,000 truck, and that I should be required to pay anything, I am grateful RAM is stepping in to pay the lion share of this repair. The dash is on back order, so just waiting for them to get one in. Hope that offers some encouragement.

sounds crazy but you got lucky. pay the 350 with a smile

The more fancy things on a vehicle, the more expensive repairs will be needed. If Ram won’t help, take it to an upholstery shop and let them give you a quote. No guarantees any fix will last. Leather dashes = issues, period.
