Looking for Fuel Door Part Name

Hi,

I recently purchased a CPO 2019 1500 RAM Bighorn Crew Cab v6 and unfortunately I neglected to check the fuel door to see if it was fully operational... it opens if I slide a CC or something of similar size and pull the door out, but the "plunger" for lack of a better term was completely missing. I'm having a hard time finding just that part online, I'm not sure what to call it -- plunger, latch, actuator. Can anyone point me in the right direction on what to buy?

Also as a side note, the backup camera is a tad fuzzy towards the top, will the toothpaste trick work on it like it does headlights?

Thanks in advanced!

Fuel door housing:

You can’t just buy the “plunger”, you have to buy the whole door assembly. $50.

You're welcome!
Can you take a clear picture of the camera lens?
Here you go, hopefully the forum doesn’t squash the quality.

You can try to polish it with a watch polishing paste, it’s called Polywatch.
Or just try to buff it with whatever you have and can work…
Worst case scenario, get a new camera(68414414AA):

Thanks again for the info! Would this possibly be covered under the manufacturer/CPO warranty? Has 22700 miles and I just bought it 3 weeks ago — original delivery date was June 2019.

I guess if these 2 (and condensation in the headlights) are all that I have come up with, for someone who doesn’t know much about autos, during my lookover/test drive that’s not horrible. Lol

Yeah, not a bad purchase…

You should try. Play it cool, just set up an appointment with the dealer and tell them that it’s been like that since you bought the truck. Don’t talk too much about thinking of polishing it, just say 3 words, “camera no good”.
