I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Big Horn 4x4 with 102,000 miles.

Recently it started randomly saying service shifter. No code has been stored.

Today this message happened frequently and the check engine light came on. I went to oriellys to get the code and it was U0001. There were 3 codes. All the same. They didn’t know anything about it and didn’t even give a print out.

I cannot find anything online about this besides questions. What’s the fix? Do I keep driving? Or take it to the dealer? Others have said taking it to the dealer just ends up being a money pit and the issue isn’t resolved.

The truck has always, and still does, run great.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’m having the same issues, even after replacing the 12v battery

Every time I’ve had the service shifter icon come up, my truck wouldn’t start either on the next start or a couple of starts later. I replace the battery, No change, The park sensors work on and off all the time and that’s been going on for a year now. dodge really doesn’t know what that is, but just yesterday I had my truck not start in a parking lot after the service shifter came up. Got it towed to Dodge and they pinpointed it was the starter that was toast. Now my voltage seems to be regulated in my truck again and the starter or I guess you’d say the whole car sounds and acts totally different on start up. I do believe though that the park sensors are tied to the service shifter and all of these warnings are from the same system, I think I read on one of the forums that the guy flashed his ECM if I’m not mistaken, and it corrected all of this……. i’m not gonna bother with that unless my car dies again……
