Try a new certifed apple usb cable. Sounds like the data transfer part of cable is finicky. If that does not solve it maybe software issue in radio or problem with usb hub. What firmware is your radio at. Should be at least 28.1 preferrably 33.3 See other threads about updates

If your cable has a loose connector this is the error you will get.
Also do you have a usb c cable and the usb a both plugged into the same port. Example : both in port 1. In the bottom of picture 2 I count 3 cables . That would cause a issue

I get the message with just one cable plugged into the USB port. It’s at the dealer again for this but at least the dealer sees what’s it’s doing now but the truck has no codes. They have opened a STAR case and are working with FCA to resolve

the uconnect on my truck is a piece of junk

From the dealer

We’re working on it. The Bluetooth works fine. We see what the front two ports are doing. And the back ones are working. My phones charging on it. We’re just trying to see why it’s not pulling up Apple car play though now.

The front 2 USB ports keep dropping the connection. The iPhone battery goes from charging to not and then back to charging It just keeps repeating the cycle

Evidently it’s a known issue for a iPhone 11 Pro with IOS 13.1-13.4 for the 2019 ram 12 inch uconnect system. Apple needs to fix the IOS Fiat Chrysler asked the dealer to do a hard reset of the radio. Got to take it back Monday for the dealer to do the hard reset and collect some data to send to Apple to assist in rectifying this issue.

Awww yes. My 2013 had a similar issue for 1 1/2 yearsas every time apple updated their software u connect would have to come out with new software to compensate. It finally got stabilized but I was a unhappy camper as I had to go through the growing pains. Hopefully they get this resolve soon

Turns out ram and Chrysler are giving me the run around. It’s an issue on the truck.
I escalted it on the Apple side and they loaded some software and took diagnostic info from my phone I heard back from them today to let me know what they find

Ram is worthless. If they can’t fix it I’m returning the truck

My truck did this when I first purchased it last year. I posted about the cycling on/off when charging before. Disconnect the trucks battery for a few minutes, then reconnect it and allow the truck to boot itself up for 15 minutes or so on its own. This allowed my USB module to come online and work as designed. It has worked for a year since doing so. Not saying its your issue, but it was definitely mine. Once I reconnected the battery, I walked away from truck. I did not even open the door. I wanted it to reset all systems without any interference from me. If you start it too soon, some of your apps will be missing from UCONNECT...but they too will eventually come back.

Apple has a certification process that they make any company who wants to sell a device as Apple compatible (from phone cases to charging cords) go through to prove that the item will not negatively effect the performance of the phone. Look for cables labeled as Apple MFI certified to guarantee that it will work with your phone. Some cables that are not certified may be only capable of charging the phone.
