2019 Ram 1500 5.7 Limited not taking fuel

Hmm.

To update: I replaced the evap cannister on my truck, and the filler neck. Problem remains

I had replaced the charcoal canister and evap, which didn't solve the filling issue. I replaced the tank and all is good now.

I had the filler neck replaced under warranty and it didn't solve it. The dealer finally admitted the baffles in the tank had a problem. That is what they said and they replaced the gas tank. Solved the problem. This was about 3 years ago.

I own a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited with 51,000 miles. Recently it developed a problem where I am unable to fill the gas tank without the pump clicking off every half gallon or less of gas going into it. I am aware of a TSB that is out for gas tank replacement because of a valve inside. My question is would this be covered under the emissions warranty or do I have to purchase a gas tank myself? I am capable of replacing it. The problem is it costs $700 or more just for the tank. If anyone has experience with this problem please let me know what fixed it for you. Thank you in advance!
I've been having this issue for the last two years. I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Big Horn (50,350 miles)

I have been having a similar issue, but it only seems to occur when the temps are below freezing. But it doesn't happen ALL the time. I was fortunate to be able to do a full fill the other day after having to do 1/2 gallon at a time for the previous 3 tanks. I few years back, I took it in, and they wouldn't/couldn't figure it out at all. Now that Warranty is up, I figure they will want a crap ton to fix it. I might follow your lead and buy the neck.
This just happened to me, and oddly enough, it is 25° out. Maybe it has something to do with something freezing up in the filler neck?

No. It has everything to do with the shtty valve design in the tank itself.

Mine does it when cold out too. It’s the rollover valve leading into the tank that’s sticking shut. I had 5 gallons in my shop that was 70 degree and after filling with that it worked right after and the next fill up (temps were 45) and now it’s below 30 again and doing it again. Not sure why the cold is hanging up the spring but it sure seems to be the problem.

hmmm mine has been doing this a ton lately, im in south texas so no cold here right now thankfully. Truck is currently in the shop and has been for 5 days getting new air shocks put on as the previous ones were leaking. Took 6 months to get two shocks in.

Screen wouldn't come on for the last 6 months as well so told them about it when i took in to get shocks put on. They said internal something is bad on screen so ordered that part and will be in today. Told them keep the truck until it is all fixed.

Also have the dreaded dash leather coming off, not sure what they are going to do if anything about it.

Might have to tell them about the gas tank issue and see if they say yes lets try something or not. Have 127k on the truck and extended warranty runs out in 5k miles. I will add that in a month in half so trying to find all things to get them taken care of during warranty period.

Thanks

I have a 2019 Laramie longhorn $70K with all the same issues.

2019 Ram Laramie Longhorn , Purchased it new from the dealer paid over $70K.
This is my second Ram and will be my last.
1st. the radio would lock up and not work until the next day, took it in half a dozen times, still does it from time to time, 2nd. dash is bubbling / delaminating, 3rd. Takes 20 minutes to fill the gas tank. Every time called Ram Care and the send me to the dealer to get it checked out and then tell me sorry it is out of warranty.
This last week they said they would help out with the fulling issue as I let them know when I was in Arizona trying to fill up the tank, the gas kept backing up and getting all over my hands (safety issues?) once again they send me to the dealer to have them check it out, an 1 1/2 hours later they said I need a new fuel tank at the tune of $1700.00 and handed me a bill for $250.00 for the diagnoses, I told them that Ram Care sent me here and there was no way I was going to pay for the diagnosis and did not. Contacted Ram Care and they DON’T CARE , they told me once again, it is out of warranty. I will replace the tank myself, sell the truck and go buy a Chevy or Ford. Dodge Ram will never see another penny of mine.

Doesn't matter what brand you buy, you are out of warranty. That's the way it works. If you plan on keeping a vehicle longer than the 3 year manufacturer warranty period, get the extended warranty. You are being quoted for labor cost and a warranty would've paid for itself in this one event already.

If warranty cost is a factor, FORD currently offers the most coverage. Look up Granger for warranty info and prices.
