Bought the truck recently, now working on making it really mine. So far I have added wheels and tires, 87mm throttle body and the RamAir intake. More to come.

Next up is a Trutrack LSD with 3.92 gearing. It is frustrating that the entire front assembly has to be swapped out instead of just the the ring and pinion. I live at altitude in the mountains this will help with the winter snow and steep climbs.

Wait, you’re putting an LSD in the front?!

Sweet dude!!

I love the intake. Id probably would have gone that way if I had known better. I don't hate my S&B but I'm liking the RAM air more and more. Did feel any difference with the 87 mm throttle body?
You have almost the same truck I have (y)

It is a bit more responsive but power gains were offset with the tire size increase.

I got the 3.92 in the rear with the LSD instantly better traction and the lower gear really helps with the elevation changes.

Front I have to wait for shop availability.

Next up my stainless works long tube headers and X pipe exhaust should be here later this week!

get us some good before and after sound clips!

What size wheels are those? I probably shouldn't even ask this, but if you are dealing with elevation why are there palm trees in the pictures? I suppose there are several different legit answers to that. I'm just curious if you bought it somewhere else or what. Is the LSD you are running better than a locker? I'm learning still so I don't know...

The stainless works setup (both of them) really sound good in their sound clips. Definitely the way I’d go if I had one. And they make quality stuff.

great question. clearly that is a CLEAN southern truck. looks like it's never seen snow.

I just found it odd. Most wouldn't buy a truck in another area and then instantly put new wheels and tires on it. It just seems to me that if you had the means to spend big money on a truck and then throw big money at it for parts why did we not just get what we wanted. Last time I checked neither a LSD, stainless headers, wheels and tires weren't cheap
Probably a reasonable explanation behind all this and it's just my jealousy doubting what's going on.

The wheels are 18in. I bought the truck in Florida, 4 months there for work then back west to Las Vegas palms in the Valley pines in the mountains.

The LSD comes down to use and money. In a standard axle the carrier can be replaced from an open diff to an LSD which improves traction. To have a selectable locker would require much more modification and money. You can purchase a Rebel selectable locking axle and swap it.

Rust has fused the front passenger axle to the carrier. Luckily i have a new carrier, unlucky I will probably lose out on the core charge.

To condensed it short, I travel for work all over the country including Alaska, ridiculous miles. I could have gone for a TRX and done nothing but this is also a labor of love to make the vehicle mine, some bits practical others for fun. LSD for offroading and snow traction, the truck had the infamous exhaust tick so as an excuse I am replacing the while thing. Just here to share the journey.

Cool! I think I read something about the axle issue on here somewhere. I have a portable hydraulic push pull tool that might help in that situation unless I'm not seeing everything correctly. I bought my truck because it had the off road package that locks the rear diff. I can't buy anymore parts until I get some put on the truck, but I do plan on researching my options for the front diff. I hope you keep us informed on the project with pictures. 🤪
