Hey guys, as the name suggests, I’m new to the truck world and picked up a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Sport last year. Unfortunately someone backed into my truck in a parking lot and ran off so now the front bumper is messed up. Rather than taking it to the dealer and getting another OEM bumper, I’m looking at aftermarket parts. Has anyone installed a new bumper? How hard would it be for me to do it myself with a couple buddies? My main concern is relocating all of the sensors. Which brands do you recommend?

The front bumper comes off really easy. It’s held on by 3 18 (or 19) mm nuts on each side. Disconnect the single plug for sensors and fog lights, and take the screws out of the inner wheel well liner. Took less than 30 minutes, and it’s good to have a buddy that can help hold the bumper.
I looked into aftermarket options, I could only find the addictive desert designs. So I’m going to wait a little bit longer...

I had something like this happen on an old pickup of mine. For about the same cost as a factory bumper, you can get a nice aftermarket. I have seen a few of them available on American trucks. Not affilaited with them, just a place I saw. I know DV8, ProMod, and Addictive Desert make front bumpers, how crazy do you want to go.

I’ve got my eye on this one but haven’t bought it. Came across this other truck that I really liked.

We need more bumper options. Anyone on here bought the addictive designs one? Looks alright but would love to see more real world photos.

I put together an estimate for you by photos alone, excluding any hidden damage, it is 1514.21 to replace the front bumper, grille, license bracket. I would stick with oem for resale value and any warranty you might have on the front sensors and related items. When you are hit and run your insurance rates should not go up. Pay the deducible and insurance pays the balance. Keep it looking factory fresh :)

I have a color match bumper that came off my 19 big horn. You might need swap some of your components to fit your sensor tho is a granite gray one. 450 plus shipping!

People are really cowards, but doing something like this. You make a mistake, own up to it and leave some contact info....

BTW, i'm envious of your color matched grill, I'd love to be able to find one for my truck

Nope I haven’t jacked with the sensors but I have the length of the truck figured out pretty well!
