Hello all. I have a 2019 Ram 1500 5th gen with the 6.4 bed. My buddy is the rep for a large truck accessorie company and has access to their extra's that cant be sold for whatever reason.

They have a real nice retractable bed cover I can get for super cheap, but it is for the 4th gen or classic. The bed lengths are the same to my truck at 6.4', but what about the rest of the dimensions such as width?

Would I be able to use the cover on my truck? I cant just throw it on my truck as the cover is in Michagan and I am in NY unfortunatly.

It should fit as everything I have read is the bed of the 2019-20 did not change. The exception was for the dually, it changed the rear corners. Here is a factory issued picture of what body changes were made to the 2019-20s

That is a great graphic to show the differences, but thats a 2500, not the 1500 like I have.

Thanks though

I believe it might fit - I know the bed rails are taller on the 5th gen but was told my cap would have fit from my 2014 but just be taller by approx 1 inch.
I will have to find someone with a 4th gen to look at their bed. Only problem would be not knowing exactly what I need t measure.

I thought the 1500 up to and including the classic and the 2500-3500 up to 2020 all have the same 6'4" bed. But I could be wrong. Google it, bet a nickel they are the same

So fell down some deep rabit holes trying to figure this out. Yes they all have 6'4" beds in length, but the full shape and stuff is not all exact.

A 1500 Classic or 4th gen, shares the bed with a 2500( i forget the yr breakdowns but beyond the 5th gen 1500), but the 19' 1500 5th gen has a new bed. Still 6'4", but the width and shape has slightly changed.

The cover I was looking to get from him was https://truck-hero.com/retrax-pro-xr-series-truck-bed-cover . It has a very small imperfection on it, so they can't sell it, but he would sell it to me for a very good price. Unfortunately I'm a bit worried it wouldn't fit properly and have the moving parts bind up so I'm gonna pass.
