Hi, my name is Glenn and I can't seem to find anyone to answer my question. I desperation, I am appealing to this 1500 forum for the information I seek. I have a question if anyone can possibly take a moment to give me some advice. I have a 1999 2500 Ram PU and the hood latch failed causing the hood to fly up and bend the hinges. The damage to the hood is very minor and shouldn't be an issue. I bought some used hinges off of Ebay. Unfortunately, I'm 72 so I'm no spring chicken anymore. My question is, if I open the hood and secure it up with 2x4's and then place several towels between the windshield and the back of the hood, can I replace each hinge one at a time after marking it without removing the hood all together?

Thank you in advance for your time and trouble.

Sounds like a solid plan.
If you are within couple hours driving from southern Maryland, I will come and give you a hand if you need help.
