19 Ram Key Fob Programming

Must be classic. I have a a DT and tried both Alfa and Jscan today for the heck of it. Didn’t work. I retrieved the 5 digit pin but it won’t allow me to program the remote itself. So going to the dealership in the morning.

Jscan can definitely program a fob. There are step by step procedures here somewhere

Tonight my new key fob programmer came in. I successfully programmed a new fob(now with tailgate open function)for my 22 5th gen that didn’t have that function before. The new programmer will do most makes and models and should pay for itself after a couple uses.

It wouldn’t program mine. No matter how many times I tried. Took mine to the dealership today. Paid $75 to have the key fob programmed and the remote start and tailgate drop works. I did already have the hood latch for the remote start and the wire going to the pin 11 I believe it is. But I used the bypass cable and obdmx+ to make sure I turned everything on first. Was funny cause the guy at the dealership said it didn’t work for remote start. I drove it maybe 10 minutes and stopped for gas and said screw it I’ll try it anyway and remote start worked.
