Hey y’all, been searching threads & pics over quite some time but figure I might see something different or from other users we haven’t seen by this thread.

Does anyone have more of a highway rated tire, NON AT tires, with an aggressive offset like -18 or even -12? I’m pretty set on the wheels I want (Vossen Super Deep profile) & torn between a few tires. I’ve had the Michelin Defenders before & leaning that way in 305/50r20. Other contender is Continental Terrain Contact HT but is a narrower tire.

Reason for post is with that much tread showing due to the offset, will it look a little silly compared to some light AT tires? If so, then the other contenders are Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus or Continental Terrain Contact AT.

Yes, I’ve played around on this site, the Vossen site, & Custom Offsets. Thanks in advance!

Here’s mine with defender ltx 275/50/22’s and fuel contra 22x10 -19 offset wheels. They’re 32.8”, which is 0.8” larger than your size.

Thanks! It still looks great. Yeah, right now I just have the standard 285/45 22’s & the same size I had with the Defenders on my Laramie. I am wanting a little more sidewall so thinking going to somewhere between 285-305 & 50-55 in a 20x10 -18 wheel. The Longhorn I test drove on 20’s was way smoother, especially over the train tracks in our town. I’ll be close enough to stock size overall but will still calibrate for odometer if slightly taller. Was originally thinking to go wider for dry traction & cornering but I’m thinking maybe I should be less picky on width since overall comfort is the goal. Narrower might be easier to steer also? I’ve got muscular issues & my forearms are always killing me - 5k miles per month average doesn’t help.

The ram has good power steering and you won’t notice the difference. We are far from the days of manual steering. Here’s some comparisons between your stock tire and your large option:

Thanks man! Tiresize truly has the best calculator for visualization. I’m really glad I came across it on here. I may have even used it in the past for my old Cherokee but it’s been awhile & I’ve stuck with the same for so long that I can’t remember.
