I went with the 18 inch methods in 18x9 -12 also. For off road I much prefer the larger sidewall for more flex and rim protection. Generally, for off roading, it is recommended that rim diameter be approximately 1/2 of the diameter of oversized tires, or as close as possible. I guess I am also a little old school and still like the smaller wheel/bigger tire setup.

Brembo applications are mainly for street driving or on-road track driving. I would assume baja/rally still vehicles require a much larger clearance over 3mm.

If going off road at all I personally would not do 18's with so little clearance for the reasons you state (rocks, etc). I went up to 20" on the truck for this reason even though I'd rather have stuck with my 18s.
Good to know. So far so good (but all pavement so far)

Tight and the 18" wheels only fit with -12 offset or greater negative offset. I wanted to use 18" to get the extra tire height...but not a -12.

They have a new 20" wheel coming out in a couple of months though.

18 inch with a -12mm offset will fit.
The method styles that will fit are 301, 304, 305, 306, 309, 310, and 311.

Ordered 1 wheel to test fit (Method NV 18x9 -12bs). They clear calipers by the thickness of two business cards (1/32”?). I’m no mechanic but I’m guessing that is a no go. Who ever heard of a truck that comes with 18” wheels that can’t fit... 18” wheels? Ugh... bummed.

Was pretty amped on 18” methods (NV, Grid, or 312). Guess I’ll need to either bump up to 20” or find a similar 18” wheel that clears (which could be an expensive search).

Or maybe just grind down the calipers?

(that’s a joke)

FYI Took a hard look at the inner lip on my stock 18x9 +19os wheels and discovered that they have a unique shape to clear the caliper (by ~1/8”). The inner surface of the wheel indents toward the tire just inside the thickness of the inside tire bead seat. Stock wheel caliper clearance pic below for reference.

Late response but maybe it will help others. I fit 18x9 Fuel Vectors zero offset. Vectors look very similar to the Methods you pictured

they came in early. Bunch of the wheel weights fell off so going to have to get the rebalanced but couldn’t wait to throw them on

Love the setup! I took my 2019 ram to the tire shop the other day to have my 18x9 -12 wheels mounted on my Ko2’s and the shop (Costco) called me and said the wheels don’t work for my truck and that the brake calipers scrapped off the wheels weights for balancing and they wouldn’t put them back on for me. How did you get yours mounted?

Not sure, it is tight, but my shop just did it. I've had them rebalanced because the wheel weights have fallen off a few times because I had the wheels ceramic coated, but never had an issue getting them balanced
