Hello my 110v center console outlet is doing weird things. Wondering if anyone had this happen to them. No 110v power with truck running. (no orange light when something is plugged in either)
When I plug something into the rear passanger 110v outlet I get the orange light in the corner of the backseat outlet and also front seat "dead" outlet. The outlets then both have power but it is reduced (I use a 60w power brick and it barely puts out any charge for my phone where as normally it would be fast charging.)
Any ideas? I checked /pulled the internal fuses and they all looked good....
I have a ram box with inverter and that works fine. Just not the interior plugs.
2020 Laramie.
Thank you for any feedback

Do you have a "Kill-A-Watt" or something similar that will show you voltage and current draw on the 110V plug? That would be helpful data to have. I haven't used the 110V outlets in my 2026 Big Horn yet.

no kill a watt unfortunately. I suspect one of the outlets is fried/damaged. unless there is some sort of breaker reset gfci style switch somewhere...

Hi there, should you choose to visit the dealer regarding this concern, feel free to send us a private message for an extra layer of support.

Sounds like the front outlet is not sending the inverter switch signal.
No comment on the reduced output compared to the rambox outlet.
edit: ram box outlet is powered from different section of the PIM.
"
The PIM is located in the instrument panel behind the Radio. This is a device that converts 12 volt Direct Current (DC) to 115 volt Alternating Current (AC). The AC current can be used to supply small appliances. The PIM receives a 50a fuse protected power feed from the interior PDC. The PIM output voltage for North American (NA) vehicles is 115 volt is a modified sine wave. The PIM can supply up to 400 watts of continuous output power if the input 12 volt side has sufficient capacity. The 400 watt PIM has two separate outputs:

One output drives both of the interior outlets simultaneously

One output drives the exterior RAM BOX outlet independently

These two outputs operate independently of each other. The interior outlet output powers up both interior outlets when one outlet is use.
The BCM activates an internal 12 volt inverter control line relay when the ignition state is ACC or RUN. This control line is also active during accessory delay. The inverter senses the presence of a plugged in device by closing an internal mechanical switch. This now causes the inverter to activate its inverter enabled signal and send this signal to the BCM. The BCM receives this signal and then sends a bus message to the IPC for indication display.

The inverter can be disabled by the BCM if the battery is at a critical state, if the vehicle is in load shedding state, or if the vehicle has entered shipping mode"
