Using Torque Pro to monitor DPF soot %, typically runs between 35-45%, mostly freeway driving. Couple weeks ago DPF% pegged at 100 but truck ran normally and SCR temp remained in normal, no active regen, ranges. Monday, took it out for a 100mi freeway trip. Pic1 shows Torque Pro readings about halfway through trip, DPF% was at 100 for entire trip, but again no indication of active regen, and no DTCs/error msgs. Used OBDLink app to verify DPF reading (pic2), also shows DPF% at 100. I have a 3rd potential source, AlfaOBD, but haven't figured out how to use graphs yet.

Not sure whats going on here, what say ye ecodiesel folks?

I didn't think it would ever reach 100%??? Any codes?

No codes, no DTCs, everything but the DPF% PID seems normal.

I think I replied to you on the other EcoDiesel forum? but for those that don't know...

My understanding is this; When you go into an active regen, then shut the truck off in the middle without it completing, the Torque app pegs the DPF level at 100%.
It will remain there until the next active regen. You will continue to go into and out of Passive Regen, keeping soot levels in check, but you won't see that % drop until the next active regen. This could take several hundred miles depending on your driving habits. I've had it happen before as well, if there are no active codes, then the truck is fine. It's just a quirk of this app.

It took my truck 250-300 miles before I looked down and saw I was finally in Active Regen. When it was completed, I was right back down to 8.x%

That's odd behavior for an interrupted active regen.

Different platform, but on the Cummins HD trucks, a shutdown during active regen will start right back up again on the next start, most often also throwing a warning on the EVIC to "continue driving." It also will show a message if you stop and put the truck in park during an active regen.

That said, interrupted active regens are hard on the overall life of the DPF. They never really clean as well as a non-interrupted active regen. If you're in active regen and can swing it, I'd take an extra exit or 2 or even let it idle in park to complete.

Agreed, I wouldn't interrupt one unless it was really necessary for some reason. This last time, I was unfortunately not checking the torque app when I shut the truck down, and realized I'd interrupted it when I stepped out of the truck and smelled it.
The ED will show a "continue driving" message in the EVIC if there have been enough interrupted regens and the soot level is above a certain threshold (from my understanding). I've seen that message just once in 23,000 miles.
