Right now the white grille light is in our plan, but we’re considering switching to amber!

Personally, I prefer the White light option, so A is my choice.

I have my White Upper/Lower Signature lights on my headlights set as my DRL lights option.

If your lights were only available as Amber, the DRL light option could be switched to the Amber Signal lights to match your lights..and then appear as a longer Amber DRL, as long as the colors match fairly closely.
An Amber Grille light is intriguing for sure. So, B wouldn't be bad choice either.

Of course, having your lights work as a White (A) "Running" light with an Amber (B) "Signal" light switchback would be the most awesome option..if that were possible(?).
