The dealers are not remotely as informed about what is going on with the factory, inventory, or builds as much as you think. No more so than you or I. I know it's frustrating but It's not really practical to expect them keep track of every part situation across all the models they sell...

Yeah true. Who knows. The logistics end is probably so screwed up now. I understand it's complex and not just a "direct route" but I still don't understand how it takes ~30 days to ship a truck from Michigan to Louisiana. Then again I don't know if that was a normal timeframe pre-"pandemic" or not.

Yeah all the addon stuff that isn't done in-factory is likely to delay the order by quite a bit now days. I ordered mine without a bedliner, paint film, decals, side steps etc etc. specifically so it could go straight from the factory to the dealership. Figured I could do all that stuff myself...
