Im sure that would be the better solution, im just highly irritated by the fact that i need to perform extra work on my truck to keep the manufacture from messing things up. @RamCares thinks a private message will keep rams issues out of the public eye which angers me even further. Ram just...
And I will say it again. I am out of warranty and still received an ota update that caused these issues. I am beyond angry at the fact that I am being told to take the truck to a dealer and pay out of pocket and be without a vehicle for an unspecified amount of time for an issue that we all know...
Why private message? Let’s discuss the issue openly here for all other frustrated Ram owners to see and contribute. Someone higher up needs to hear how angry this makes people to buy their products and have someone from the company release software that makes the end user experience completely...
@RamCares there will not be a trip to a dealer for me. I’m out of warranty and refuse to give the dealer money for a problem clearly caused by the software update that everyone on here is complaining about. There wasn’t anything fixed by this update, only problems caused, no responsibility...
Mine has been terrible for CarPlay since the last update. The screen bouncing around and not coming back until you shut the truck off and wait is the worst mistake they did in programming. I get in the truck and head out and have no use of the entire system unless I can pull off the road and...
Even if it’s just the module and boards, there is a part number for the harness itself, if your asking price and the cost of the harness makes sense maybe we can make a deal.
I had a similar issue with a start stop eliminator I had before I got my tazer. I had the 115v outlet on message, a cargo light symbol, and issues with the radio getting stuck on. By luck I moved the start stop eliminator and everything worked, so I removed it didn’t have any more issues. The...
I have the same wheel/tire specs as you but with a 3.5” lift. Mine also rubbed there, but after removing the mud flap and bending the tab back it cleared. It also rubbed there front plastic liner, but that was fixed by drilling a couple of holes and using zip ties to pull it forward out of the way.
The RC lift I did swapped the strut/spring and upper control arms in the front and I did Motofab 2” spring spacers along with RC shocks in the rear. All completely bolt in in a matter of a few hours.
I have a v6 with RC 3.5” M1. I lowered it by 1 clip to compensate for the weight difference from the v8. I’ve had it for almost 2 years with no issues.
The uc4 and uc5 lvds cables are pinned differently, and not compatible. I tried using a uc4 on mine originally and the screen would not turn on. I couldn’t locate a uc5 cable so I cut mine and resoldered the wires in the correct order and now the screen works.
So when the drivers side stub shaft has play, the bearings that are in the differential don’t need to be replaced? Does the shaft just become that worn that it causes play? When doing just the drivers side is there fluid loss to be concerned about?
I used Alfa to change the tire size. It makes the speedo read correctly, adjusts shift points and it will show the mileage more accurately for the increased tire size.
Did you reprogram for the tire size? I run 35s on my v6 too and usually runs at about 2k on the highway, but hunts for 8th gear a lot. I noticed a huge change after reprogramming compared to how it was after just swapping tires. I’ve put about 60k since the lift and tires without any issues this...
I think it’s software. When I had 27.46 CarPlay worked great wired but wireless was questionable when using anything other than the factory nav. The last 2 software updates make CarPlay unavailable as often as it is available. I’ve tried different phones, different cables and get the same...
