I have the gator fx, not efx like yours , but my clamp is sitting in the groove at the bottom unlike yours, maybe try that.

Adapter cable is the easiest way. I think the black and gray have different key ways so they won’t just plug in. Also the pin locations are not in the same order, so you either repin or use the adapter that already does it so that it just plugs in and is done

Mine started this with 29.44, tried to update every day for about a week straight and failed every time, and hasn’t tried to update since, so I’m stuck on 29.44. The radio does shut off on its own eventually, or if you switch to WiFi updates it seems to shut off normally.

I find it funny how mgu’s are always on back order for repairs, but they can suddenly find enough for production of thousands of new vehicles.

Maybe I’m wrong in assuming they would come through. My vin has my 8.4 tied to it but I continue to get updates after swapping to the 12.1 and this definitely are not the same updates that the 8” would receive. I apologize that I am wrong, mine must be a fluke then. Sorry for the misinformation.

Not true. I swapped from the 8.4 and I still received ota updates on my 12.1 in my 2022.

That’s exactly what happened with mine. No more attempts to update, but the 29.44 brought on issues I didn’t have before
