It was fairly simple as 1BADRAMLIMITED stated. I have the active air dam and all I did was take the 4 screws out that hold the dam itself and it made it easier.
My buddy put a M and R single row light bar in his Chevy, and it doesn't even belong in the same area code as what I just installed. It was not cheap by any means, I guess you get what you pay for. I am extremely pleased with the result.
Holy Shizzle! All I can say is WOW! Here are my photos, low beam with driving lights, then high beams and then Black Oak Led Light Bar! What a difference!
Finally finished up this morning with the install. Waiting for night to fall to some night time pictures. I went through the firewall through the little nipple just to the right of the wire harness. Thank God for a 12" filet knife to cut the end off! Another tight PITA spot. Overall with some...
Thanks. it took be a bit to figure out the easiest way without being a contortionist to get it done the way I wanted, but it worked out. I was very pleased with the accessibility to the bolts on the light bar after taking the tow hooks out. Will make adjusting the light very easy. I just can't...
All installed finally! I put a slot in the bumper mounting slots to raise the light bar 1/4" and is spot on. Also slotted to bottom light bar mounting hole instead and of just a hole to account for some rotation to adjust the light. I was able to leave 1 bolt in the light bar and rotate it to be...
If only I can figure out how to raise the light bar 1/4" to 3/8" and she'll be centered. I think I'm going to modify the horizontal shifts & Grins mounting bracket slots as not to mess with the light bar mounting slots as I will have to drill a hole below the 2 slots to align with the 2nd light...
Your statement is true which is why I was surprised when I got my light bar. I have the new Series 2 Black Oak Led Light Bar and it has 2 mounting holes compared to the picture on the web. Should not be a problem.
I am hoping to get the install done this weekend. Waiting on my mesh grill to be delivered. 2 weeks of waiting so far! The one thing I'll say is that I will have to possibly drill a 3rd hole in my bracket since the Series 2 Black Oak LED Light Bar has 2 mounting bolts, not just 1. It is one...
The 30" Black Oak Led Light Bar is almost triple the power of the Baja Light. I just got the Double Row 30" with 5 watt Osram Led's and it puts out 300 Watts vs Baja 120 and 33,000 Lumens vs Baja 12,500. As soon as my mesh grille comes in I will get it installed.
Goodies have arrived! Time to install the Shifts & Grins brackets with the 30" Black Oad Led Bar. 300 Watts and 33,000 Lumens of night eating goodness!
I have a couple questions for the group/thread. I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie and I have pondered a light bar in the bumper for some time. Now I'm ready to putt the trigger. First, does anyone have any experience with the 30" Black Oak LED Light Bar with the 5 watt Cree LED's? Second, has...
Thanks! Every day I look at them, it makes me realize how happy I am with that choice. I love a lot of the trucks and ideas I see posted on this forum, but it came out exactly like I wanted for my taste. I think I am happiest with PoorBoy's advice to go with 11.50 tires instead of the...
I just added a Xenon Depot XTR LP Reverse Light and used the Curt Mfg. T and 5 way plug. Works absolutely perfectly, fits perfectly and does NOT hit my tailgate. Finally able to see like a champ through the tinted windows AND in the rear view camera.
One word of caution, even though mine did...
