A different type of CAI discussion...

Just FYI, the Vararam doesn't have the intake portion down at the bottom of the bumper

What did you do to your Ram today???

Absolutely, the front sensors go crazy so I have them turned off. Not sure if it's possible but I'd like to extend the sensors and place them in the grill guard eventually. I do not have the ACC or the front camera.

    Cold Air Intakes

All 3 generations of Ram Hemi's that I've owned have rocked the Vararam. I've been working near Houston for the last few years so for the last 2 trucks I've just showed up to their shop and picked one up.

How many miles on your 5th Gen 1500?

Purchased on Valentine's Day 2019, around 37, 000 miles and I plan on buying a Wagoneer around 2024 (It'll be sharing a platform with our trucks so I figured it was relevant).

What did you do to your Ram today???

I threw on a grill guard a while back. Westin HDX Heavy Duty. It’s not for everybody but I like it [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What did you do to your Ram today???

2 small, cheap mods done today. Changed out the chrome center caps and added a little flair to the gear selector knob. I bought both items off of Amazon. [emoji1365] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    34's vs 35's

I figured since every other truck like mine has posted in here I’d jump on the bandwagon as well [emoji23]. I went with the Nitto Ridge Grapplers 285/55 on the factory 22’s. I never cared for the factory 32” tire and couldn’t wait to upgrade. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

285/55R22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers Installed with a level kit

That’s a good idea, thanks for linking your thread. I only have a slight rub when I’m locked out turning left. Nothing turning right so I forget about it but I do need to address it soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

285/55R22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers Installed with a level kit

[emoji15] The fuel economy definitely dropped, though I haven’t checked or calculated an exact mpg drop but definitely noticeable. Luckily I have a fuel card for work [emoji16][emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

285/55R22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers Installed with a level kit

I’ll get some pics one of these days, it’s rubbing slightly on a little plastic up front I need to trim a bit. No biggie. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

285/55R22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers Installed with a level kit

35’s would’ve had major rubbing/clearance issues without a lift from what I read so I went with 34’s [emoji16]and a level. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

285/55R22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers Installed with a level kit

They just added a run of the mill level kit up front, not sure how much to be honest but I like it. The new tires are just over 34”. I looked at 33” tires at first but would’ve gained just under an inch overall and I wanted more sidewall than that. Only minor issue is a bit of rubbing (on the...

285/55R22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers Installed with a level kit

My factory size was 285/45R22 which was 32” and change in diameter. I’ve been wanting to put a larger, more aggressive tire and a level kit but have been waiting to get my money’s worth out of the OEM Goodyear’s. Pulled the trigger on Friday and was out of the door with everything installed in...
