My factory size was 285/45R22 which was 32” and change in diameter.

I’ve been wanting to put a larger, more aggressive tire and a level kit but have been waiting to get my money’s worth out of the OEM Goodyear’s. Pulled the trigger on Friday and was out of the door with everything installed in an hour.

Looks good...how much lift did you add? And how tight is that tire size? I'm thinking about doing the same

They just added a run of the mill level kit up front, not sure how much to be honest but I like it. The new tires are just over 34”. I looked at 33” tires at first but would’ve gained just under an inch overall and I wanted more sidewall than that. Only minor issue is a bit of rubbing (on the active air dam) when turned almost completely to the left, no rubbing at all turning right.

Looks very nice, I am waiting for my 2" Mopar lift kit, and putting exactly the same tires on.
Well done.

why did you choose
285/55R22 over the 35x12.5R22? Im thinking of following what you did

35’s would’ve had major rubbing/clearance issues without a lift from what I read so I went with 34’s and a level.

This is the exact set-up I am looking to achieve over the next few months. Thinking of going bilstein 5100 up front at clip #5 to get the level. Can you expound on where your seeing the rubbing when turning right? Pics would be amazing!

How has your fuel economy been? I really want to add this to my Limited but I'm stuck on them being nearly 20lbs a tire heavier!

I’ll get some pics one of these days, it’s rubbing slightly on a little plastic up front I need to trim a bit. No biggie.

The fuel economy definitely dropped, though I haven’t checked or calculated an exact mpg drop but definitely noticeable. Luckily I have a fuel card for work

Do you know the height of the truck? Can you fit in a standard 7 foot parking garage? Truck looks awesome

Noticeable...like 1-2 mpgs....or like 3-5? Just a guess. I drive enough for work I'm thinking I may need to stay with standard size. I hate that it goes to a heavy a$$ LT tire just to gain a little sidewall!

I'm running the same size tires and same wheels, stock tires I would avg around 15mpg on the cluster, and now avg around 12mpg. Mostly in city driving.

Forgot to mention...I run in Tow/Haul mode 95% of the time, towing or not, so that will have an effect on mileage.

Personally I wouldnt trim, I'd heatgun it. At least that's what I did for mine here:
285/55r22 Ridge grapplers on no-lift-ram - heatgun'd for tirerubs

Most likely itll rub worse when at-speed & full lock (ie: swinging into a parking space, making a tight moderate speed turn, etc)

Btw...truck looks great! :)(y)

That’s a good idea, thanks for linking your thread. I only have a slight rub when I’m locked out turning left. Nothing turning right so I forget about it but I do need to address it soon.
