It's a separate app on your phone. Mine's an Apple, so Apple app store, search for Ram app. I assume there's an equivalent app for Android users. Once you have the app on your phone, you have to link your Alexa account to your Ram account so they can talk to each other.
Just an update for anyone who might be watching this thread or finds it in the future: I updated my iPhone to iOS 15.3.1 and had no issues at all. Also, the radio in my Ram got an OTA update yesterday, and so far everything seems to be working smoothly. (y)
You can disable the voice code in the Ram app - go to Settings menu->Account->Application Settings->Virtual Assistant. You can disable the voice code there.
Seems like it should work, but I haven't tried it. As long as you have the passcode disabled (Account->Application Settings->Virtual Assistant), it should work like any other scheduled operation.
ekaz, I found your thread, but my dashboard screen doesn't look like yours. This is my dashboard screen:
If I click the "Manage Subscriptions" link, it takes me to a page that just looks like this:
If I click the "Services" tab at the top, I get this:
If I click the Mopar link in the...
So my 2022 Big Horn came with Connected Services. I can lock/unlock and remote start my truck from the iPhone app. Cool.
Simple question: Is this a limited time trial, or will I always be able to do these things? If it's a trial and I have to pay for a subscription, how much is it? I don't...
You can set up "Routines" in the alexa app, with custom commands. I added "Start my truck", "Unlock my truck" and "Lock my truck" as "routines", so now I can just say "Alexa, start my truck" instead of "Alexa, ask Ram to start my truck". Saves a few words, and easier to remember.
Just bought my new Ram. Love the wireless CarPlay, but it has a few (relatively minor) connectivity issues sometimes. My iPhone is still on iOS 14, so I'm hoping an update to iOS 15.3.1 will fix the minor issues, but I'm afraid because once you update iOS you can't go back. I've read horror...
Definitely sounds like a manifold leak - I had a Jeep that sounded like that - the puff-puff sound you hear is exhaust leaking out of the manifold on every cycle of the engine. And if you're smelling exhaust in the cab, you need to get it fixed right away - carbon monoxide will put you to sleep...
I couldn't find any info on this either, and I got conflicting information from various sellers and from the manufacturer themselves. So I took a chance and ordered two sets of them anyway - the new style (the ones that say "fits 2019-22") will fit in the front, but will NOT fit in the rear...
2022 Ram 1500. Didn't come with front tow hooks, and I want them. All the online mopar sources list the tow hooks as fitting 2019-21, but nothing about 2022. Is there a different part # for 2022, or have they just not updated the database yet?
Also, do they come with the bezels and hardware...
Regarding the Mopar step, what's the difference between part number 82214245AD and 82215289AH? They look the same to me, but the 82214245AD part says "Fits 2014-2022 Ram" and the 82215289AH part says "Fits 2021-2022 Ram". There's also a $75 difference in price. I'm guessing one is for trucks...
Most people (my wife, for example) drive around while ignoring things like coolant temperature and oil pressure, so I wouldn't worry about that too much... :)
