It won't really matter - diodes emit light in a straight beam....having a bumper there is going to inhibit light on the ground immediately behind the truck as the diodes are aimed back and tucked in to a crevice....they do a good job of illuminating further back though
Those look nice - I like the 90 degree functionality - I haven't looked at the plug yet - you think there's enough room to maneuver pulling some tape back and getting both the power and return wire in to one single connector? or will I need to splice in to the power and splice in to the return...
ugh...I guess it's time for YouTube university....I've never de-pinned or pinned wires before....but this thread has shown the schematic for the door plug and where the wires need to go - from my understanding, power to Slot 7, and ground to Slot 5...
It's just a matter of getting the pin out...
Anyone familiar with whats going on behind the side mirrors able to give me some input?
My truck has the blind spot detection system, but I would be interested in installing some LEDs like the ones in this video in to the pillars
Wouldn't it be possible to simply buy an LED with a power wire...
33 pages becomes that much longer if the same topic keeps re-circulating....
Sometimes a forum thread could be a couple of pages, but the conversation buries things and then redundant questions and posts buries it even further...
So I took a chance on the one I saw... wasn't sure it would work out because it looked like it might cover the buttons where it becomes more narrow....
... but it came out just fine!
I have a 2019 Limited, so if the 2022 has fancier stuff, I probably have the lower tech...
That being said, it's just a feature that has never worked properly for me...the lights do flash while I'm filling up, but the horn never did anything beyond those 3 times
Does yours actually work?
Update to my last post - I've had it honk at me two more times, so 3 total.....twice it has honked at me and been fairly accurate at OEM psi specs...
the 3rd time, it didn't honk at me until I was done filling the tire, cap back on, and I just got back in the truck...
